Poster Design/ Promotional Campaign
The poster design highlights Magdalene, a sculptural piece by Dessa Kirk, located at the intersection of Congress Parkway and Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. Created specifically for its site, the sculpture transforms with the seasons, particularly in spring, when tulips bloom around the skirt of the figure, enhancing its grace and charm. The poster also promotes a lecture event discussing the artistic significance of the piece and its connection to the site.
ROLE
The poster was designed to celebrate Magdalene’s artistic and seasonal transformations while promoting the lecture event. The design emphasizes the sculpture's relationship with its environment and its unique visual impact during different times of the year, especially in spring.
